^22 (A)While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, ^(B)day and night, shall not cease.”

^13 (A)But if he did not lie in wait for him, but God let him fall into his hand, then ^(B)I will appoint for you a place to which he may flee.

²⁸ And Micaiah said, “If you return in peace, ^(A)the Lord has not spoken by me.” And he said, ^(B)“Hear, all you peoples!”

Ahab Killed in Battle

²⁹ So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth-gilead. ³⁰ And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, ^(C)“I will disguise myself and go into battle, but you wear your robes.” And the king of Israel disguised himself and went into battle.

³⁴ But a certain man drew his bow at random^[a] and struck the king of Israel between the scale armor and the breastplate. Therefore he said to the driver of his chariot, “Turn around and carry me out of the battle, ^(A)for I am wounded.”

²⁷ And the ^(A)satraps, the prefects, the governors, and ^(B)the king's counselors gathered together and saw that ^(C)the fire had not had any power over the bodies of those men. The hair of their heads was not singed, their ^(D)cloaks were not harmed, and no smell of fire had come upon them.

²³ this Jesus,^{[a] (A)}delivered up according to ^(B)the definite plan and ^(C)foreknowledge of God, ^(D)you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men.

¹⁹ He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was ^(A)as good as dead (^(B)since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered ^(C)the barrenness^[a] of Sarah's womb. ²⁰ No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, ²¹ fully convinced that ^(D)God was able to do what he had promised.
